Today I am going to review a business card scanner stand from a company called PenPower which is a company formed in 1991, invented the Chinese writing pad with handwriting recognition technology to help people with little or no computer literacy input Chinese characters with free handwriting, just as they do on paper. No special input systems need to be learned and no training is needed. PENPOWER has led the market for devices with built-in smart human-machine interface technologies, to ease frustrating tasks involving computer interaction. With the success of its Chinese handwriting pad, PENPOWER built its name in this field and was able to invest more resources in other automatic recognition technologies such as voice recognition, optical character recognition, business card recognition, and face recognition, collectively PENPOWER’s core technologies. These core technologies have paved the way for PENPOWER’s growth and expansion in the years to come. the product costs about $59.95 USD and comes with Free shipping if bought on Amazon so that’s all you will pay. So not bad for the price but how does it perform? That’s what this review intends to show you, so read on….
Product Name: PenPower WorldCard Mobile Phone Kit
So everyday you meet someone most of time you always get a card so afterwards you remember who that person is but have you ever thought of how many of those cards you collected in a year and maybe lost in the process well today I am going to talk about a neat product which has been improved alot since I reviewed it a year ago If you don’t know about Penpower where have you been they create alot of cool apps and products for the office professional
So to start the app (which is FREE in Android and IOS) is really the main part of this product the stand you get in the box is ment to place your phone on while you take a snap of a card I like the design of this stand better than the one I reviewed last year which was made of plastic this one is made of 100% aluminum there isn’t any wires to charge your phone while docked but there is spot where you can run a cable though to the phone to charge the device which wouldn’t be used when you are using the product to scan a card it can be only charged in landscape
The Mac/Windows CD isn’t really a big deal it just syncs from your phone to your computer nothing too special there I found it very easy to scan cards in under one second after placing the card and adjusting the gold bar with the guides on the app the picture was snapped and the info was imported Overall from the past version I find this to be a great product to use after each day or on the plane trip home from convention like CES
The final score averages out to be a 10 out of 10,
