Today I am going to review a Solid State Drive from a company called Kingston which is a company that is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of memory products  The design of the drive is very unique and looks like a very sturdy drive  the drive costs about $169 USD for the 240GB  drive and as low as $94 USD for the 120GB  there’s also a 480 GB drive but I don’t think it would be worth it to go to that much space since you can back up most files like videos or audio on an external or flash drive   So far it’s not bad for the price but how well does it perform? That’s what this review intends to show you, so read on….

The Review:

So I’m sure by now you have heard the stories about SSD’s being one of the best hard drives out there you can have in your laptop and I’m also sure you heard they have a shorter lifespan then a SATA HD while both of these statements are true this can be extremely hard to make  for any consumer so that’s where I am going to share my own thoughts after researching and testing out this

There’s  now lots of places selling SSD’s while no matter where you get your drive the outcome will most likely be the same but tech support might not be the best that’s why for this test I picked Kingston and I’m  using my own personal laptop it’s a big risk I took but I have confidence in the kingston brand that nothing will happen. To start off you want to make sure you prepare for the install you will need to check how much space you are using and what you are backing up on other drives this is to decide how much space you will need next it’s simple from there I have left a few video tutorials below I searched up on Youtube to help you out, I looked at many videos and forums for the best tutorials I also have unboxed and given you my thoughts after using this drive beyond installing drive I also doubled my RAM from 4GB  to 8GB  I do suggest upgrade your RAM to the highest you can go

Alright now that you are ready let me talk about why I picked the HyperX 3K drive over the SSDnow from Kingston while both do the same the 3K drive is shock-proof meaning if you drop your notebook  it means no more losing your data a good feature to have in drive another feature and I think this is just as important is the fact this drive will generate much less heat than traditional hard drives which I can say is 100% true then when I had my original Macbook drive the keyboard used to heat up and make the fans run high when I used to render a simple youtube video I haven’t yet had this problem besides the time when I rendered four screenflow videos which I thought was odd it heated up for but still no negative vote from me

Now for you energy conservers you don’t have worry since besides the drive not heating up it also consumes less energy than a traditional hard drive

Kingston HyperX 3K is available in 120GB, 240GB,and 480GB capacities and is backed by a three-year warranty, free lifetime technical support and legendary Kingston reliability.

The final score averages out to be a 10 out of 10,
