Today I am going to review a protective flash drive from a company called Kingston which is a company that is the world’s largest independent manufacturer of memory products The design of the drive is very unique and looks very nice for being able to transfer and keep your files safe from unwanted hands the drive costs about $12.99-$32.99 USD depending on the amount of space you need I put the NewEgg links instead of Amazon since those prices were lower than Amazon odd right? So not bad for the price but how does it perform? That’s what this review intends to show you, so read on….
Product Name: Kingston DataTraveler® Locker+ G3
Price: $12.99-$32.99 8GB,16GB and 32GB NewEgg
So let’s get this straight this flash drive for personal security early last year I reviewed the G2 I’ll embed the video below for your reference there isn’t a lot different from the G2 but the DataTraveler Locker+ G3 offers USB 3.0 speeds and a sleek durable metal casing with a built-in key loop leaving photos, personal documents and other files safe and easy to get access to so now you don’t have to worry if the drive get’s into the wrong hands
One of the best features I like about this drive is it password protects and hardware encrypts data giving you the best in personal security with USB 3.0 speed this drive boasts higher speeds than the previous generation DataTraveler Locker+ G2, with read speeds up to 135MB/s and write speeds up to 40MB/s. and here’s something to make you smile all security is built in with no application installation required making this drive very secure and easy to use when you plug the USB in as you see me do in the video below you have a option of Mac or Windows then from there you get a few attempts hopefully you remember your password otherwise to reset the password the drive will wipe itself CLEAN I only had to do this twice with the G2 its recommended you write down the password maybe on your ID badge making sure you get the capital letters written right
Anyways I had friends help test this drive and they loved it one of them called this drive ‘Pentagon Quality” I’m going to take a guess that means its top-notch over other drives out there Overall I was very impressed by this very cool and secure drive which is great for anyone who needs complete security
DataTraveler Locker+ G3 is available in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities and is backed by a five-year warranty, free live technical support and legendary Kingston reliability.
The final score averages out to be a 9 out of 10, The reason why I took it down a number is that if you forget your password and try to type it in you risk locking the drive the only other way to fix this is to reset your password thus wiping your files its best to keep a protected backup elsewhere to avoid this
