Today I am going to review usb hub from a company called Inateck is a company which provides mobile & computer accessories the usb hub costs about $16.99 with with Free shipping so that’s all you will pay. So not bad for the price but how does it perform? That’s what this review intends to show you, so read on….

Info:

Product Name: Inateck Bus-Powered USB 3.0 4-Port Compact Hub + OTG

Provider: Inateck

Price: $16.99

The Review:

The packaging, is an easy open black box which opens from the side to a plastic shell packed inside is the hub which is easy to get out no twist ties to worry about at the bottom is the return RMA tag and  on the box you will find  for retail purposes pictures of the hub as well  features and specifications

The hub does have an identifying mark on it which is Inateck logo on the front brushed metal  This portable hub is great for those who have a bunch of different wires plugged into your laptop but don’t want to keep unplugging and plugging them all back in Now something I should let you know about the hub  is for a stable operation, devices connected to this hub should not exceed a combined current of 5V 900mAh and they also say it is not recommended to use this USB hub for too many peripheral devices with high energy consumption, such as HDDs Two external 2.5″ hard drives bring the USB port of the PC  already at its limit Also this hub is not meant to serve as a stand-alone charger. It is not compatible with iPads or any other devices with irregular charging requirements One of the best features of this hub is for those with Android phones and that is the OTG function which you could plug in a mouse or many flash drives for more storage for your device now I wasn’t able to test this since my Android device is a knock off phone so the hardware/software might not be there I’m not sure. this hub is USB 3.0 and also backward compatible  since I wasn’t able to find info on the warranty I would assume it would just be covered on a standard Amazon policy which is good too this hub indeed lives up to the fresh design in my opinion…

Conclusion:

So yes the hub is affordable but is it even worth it? I would say YES if you don’t want to get a laptop docking station like the Plugable Dock and also want to use your Android phone as a computer with a regular mouse or keyboard

The final score averages out to be a 10 out of 10,

PROS CONS
+ Priced well
+Made and Designed with care
+No need for a laptop docking station easy to slide into a carry-on+Works great with most Android phones like Samsung so you can use a mouse, keyboard or flash drives with the phone
