UPDATE: June 2 2017

It seems that the audio has fixed itself with these headphones later in the week after I posted this blog post I saw Apple releases a Sierra update and it spoke something about fixing a problem with USB headphones and I thought “I wonder if update this if it might fix my bluetooth headphones” so I updated and it did fix the problem

======================================================

Today I am going to review a pair of luxurious style headphones from a company called Edifier a small national company established in Beijing, China in May 1996 that initially focused within the China domestic market, where it is a market leader today selling various sound products. These headphones cost about $149.99 USD and comes with Free shipping if bought direct from Edifier or Amazon US Prime  , so that’s all you will pay. So not bad for the price but how does it perform? That’s what this review intends to show you, so read on….

Info:

Product Name: Edifier W855BT Over-ear Stereo Bluetooth Headphones

Provider: Edifier USA

The Review:

The packaging, it’s a nice professional retail packaging  you can see the headphones pictured in different angles along with what comes in the box for retail when you buy them from the store it has the Edifier logo and website on the box along with some specs and other info. Inside the first thing you will noticed unlike other headphones is the outer retail shell box is tough to get off the black box package  there is also some with instructions and warranty card which hopefully you won’t need.

The headphones come with mini usb to usb to charge ; branded Edifier 3.5 cable ; and  a unique carrying case.

These headphones I believe are supposed be of a pro quality headphones for your tablet, laptop, or phone and can be compared to a few other Pro Headphones I reviewed in the past but with a few differences.  There is a 20 hour rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery that will last you awhile I think it was a few days if you use them for a few hours a day while you are out on the town enjoying the beach and your tunes. There is also built-in controls that are flat with the right outside they come with a sticker which tell you for play ,pause and back & forward, volume up and down but once that gets dirty and falls off good luck if you forget or you give it to a friend to use and they can’t find the controls easy and there’s also a built-in mic for taking calls on your phone which I didn’t use since I like the speaker phone on my Android  The earpads are SUPER COMFY they do come flat but you leave them out in the air they pop out , one thing I wondered about them is if they can be removed and new ones can be replaced, the headband isn’t a problem but when I was looking the mirror with these on they look strange maybe that’s just me adjusting them is just fine and I had no problem even when they were on my head If you are getting this to work with a Macbook to work on some editing or watching some Youtube videos then you will love it like I did

Conclusion:

So yes these headphones are priced affordable and sound right, but is it even worth it? I would say Tread carefully at this point until a new version? comes out!  There was a few flaws with these headphones which after talking to my PR rep he spoke to technical service “and it appears that’s a “technical imperfection” their words. Edifier isn’t pushing this model anymore. I think they may either be working on a new version or just killing this model off entirely it’s tough to say” So who knows if they do end up making a new version I’ll be sure to grab a unit and let you know what happens but hopefully they can use my feed and a few suggestions for future models but it’s a shame for now as they fit in perfectly on my ears and I loved them 🙂 .
